Poker is a popular card game that is played with chips. A poker chip is a small plastic or plastic-like piece of material usually red or green.<\/p>\n
The basic premise of the game is that players try to make the best hand they can. In addition to making a bet, players may also use the cards they have to bluff others. This is one of the reasons why the game is so popular.<\/p>\n
Before the start of a round, each player must put in an ante, or an amount of money, to contribute to the pot. These contributions are typically based on the stakes of the game.<\/p>\n
During the round, each player is dealt five cards, either face up or face down. After all cards have been revealed, the player who has the highest hand wins the pot.<\/p>\n
If there is a tie, the two hands are broken by the highest unmatched card. For example, if there is a tie between two hands that both have a pair, the highest unmatched fifth card breaks the tie.<\/p>\n
Players are then required to make another bet. This bet is known as a raise. Usually, each player must call the previous bettor’s bet, if possible, or fold if the other players don’t call.<\/p>\n
