Whether you are an avid gambler or just want to try your luck, casino establishments are a great place to be. They have a variety of games of chance, like slots, roulette, blackjack, baccarat and poker. These games are fun and provide a thrill that can’t be matched by any other experience. Casinos also have a friendly atmosphere where champagne glasses clink and both tourists and locals mingle to create an incredible buzz.
Martin Scorsese has done it again with Casino, an excellent film that stars Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci as two mob associates that run a Las Vegas casino. The movie is more of a narrative than Goodfellas and is much more accessible to the average viewer. The film features many classic songs that bode well with the action of the movie and the acting is great. It is one of the best performances from DeNiro before his downward spiral that began with 1995’s Heat.
The security of a casino is one of its biggest concerns. The casino has to make sure that its patrons do not rob it or steal money. The casino’s security starts on the floor, with dealers having a close eye on their own games and the players at those games to spot any cheating or blatantly obvious mistakes. Table managers and pit bosses have a wider view of the tables, watching to see that no patron is stealing money from the table or attempting to win by marking or switching cards or dice.
